This app is used by drivers working for Jimmy's Taxi in Tarrytown, New York. It is how a driver receives work, shows the office where the car is, and records what a trip came to.
It is not a passenger app. If you are a passenger, nothing here applies to you.
Where the car is
The app records the driver's location while he is on duty, including when the phone is in a pocket and the screen is off. That is the point of it: the office cannot send the nearest car to a customer if the car disappears from the board every time the screen goes dark. Location is not recorded when the driver is off duty or the app is closed.
Who the driver is
Name, mobile number, and email address — entered when the office sets up his account.
The work itself
Pickup and drop-off addresses, times, distance, and the fare for each job.
No contacts, no photo library, no microphone, no messages, no browsing, no advertising identifier. The app has no advertising in it of any kind.
Nothing here is ever sold, and nothing is shared for advertising. It is handled only by the services that make the app work:
Supabase
Stores the data. Nobody else's app can read it.
Google Maps
Turns an address into a place on the map and works out the distance, the time and any tolls.
Netlify
Serves the app itself.
It is also shared where the law requires it — a court order, or a lawful request from the police.
Trip records are kept for as long as the business needs them for its accounts and its tax records. Location history older than 90 days is deleted.
A driver can ask for his account and everything attached to it to be deleted. Email jimmytaxiservices@gmail.com from the address on the account, or ask the office. It is done within 30 days, and the account stops working immediately.
Records the business is legally required to keep for tax — the amount of a fare, the date — may be kept after that, with the driver's name removed from them.

Esta aplicación la usan los conductores que trabajan para Jimmy's Taxi en Tarrytown, Nueva York. Es como el conductor recibe trabajo, le muestra a la oficina dónde está el carro, y registra cuánto costó un viaje.
No es una aplicación para pasajeros. Si usted es pasajero, nada de esto le aplica.
Dónde está el carro
La aplicación registra la ubicación del conductor mientras está de servicio, incluso con el teléfono en el bolsillo y la pantalla apagada. Para eso es: la oficina no puede mandar el carro más cercano si el carro desaparece del tablero cada vez que se apaga la pantalla. No se registra la ubicación cuando el conductor no está de servicio o la aplicación está cerrada.
Quién es el conductor
Nombre, número de celular y correo electrónico — puestos cuando la oficina crea su cuenta.
El trabajo
Direcciones de recogida y destino, horas, millas, y la tarifa de cada viaje.
No recoge contactos, ni fotos, ni micrófono, ni mensajes, ni navegación, ni identificador de publicidad. La aplicación no tiene publicidad de ninguna clase.
Nada de esto se vende nunca, y nada se comparte para publicidad. Solo lo manejan los servicios que hacen funcionar la aplicación:

Guarda la información. Ninguna otra aplicación puede leerla.
Google Maps
Convierte una dirección en un punto del mapa y calcula las millas, el tiempo y los peajes.
Netlify
Sirve la aplicación.
También se comparte cuando la ley lo exige — una orden judicial, o una solicitud legal de la policía.
Los registros de viajes se guardan mientras el negocio los necesite para su contabilidad y sus impuestos. El historial de ubicación de más de 90 días se borra.
Un conductor puede pedir que se borre su cuenta y todo lo que tenga. Escriba a jimmytaxiservices@gmail.com desde el correo de la cuenta, o pídalo en la oficina. Se hace dentro de 30 días, y la cuenta deja de funcionar de inmediato.
Los registros que el negocio está obligado por ley a guardar para los impuestos — el monto de una tarifa, la fecha — pueden quedarse después de eso, sin el nombre del conductor.
